Broomfield County Jail Roster

The Broomfield jail roster is a publicly accessible record of individuals currently held at the Broomfield Detention Center in Colorado. BroomfieldCourt.us can help you find publicly available information about current and recent inmates. You can also access jail roster information through the City and County of Broomfield's official Inmate Information page, by calling the detention center, or by visiting in person. The roster allows the public to confirm whether someone is in custody, view current charges, and check bond amounts. Maintained by the Broomfield Police Department's Detention Division, the roster is published online as a regularly updated active booking report.

Search Current Inmates in Broomfield Jail

There are several ways to look up someone currently held at the Broomfield Detention Center.

Online Search

  1. Visit BroomfieldCourt.us to search for publicly available court and inmate record information.
  2. Go to the Broomfield Active Booking with Charges report — a PDF document published by the detention center listing all currently booked inmates.
  3. Because the active booking list is a PDF, use your browser's find function (Ctrl+F or Cmd+F) to search for a specific name or inmate ID number.

To search, you will need:

  • The individual's full legal name (last name is most reliable)
  • A booking or inmate ID number, if available

The PDF roster includes each inmate's name, inmate ID, date of birth, bond amount, charges, statute references, and the arresting agency. Juvenile offenders are not listed on the public roster.

By Phone

Inmate information is available through the Broomfield Detention Center's automated voice attendant at 720-887-2000. You can also contact the Police Records Unit at 303-438-6420 for records-related questions.

In Person

You may visit the Broomfield Detention Center to inquire about current inmates at the facility lobby.

Find Broomfield Jail Booking Records Online

A booking record is created each time an individual is processed into the Broomfield Detention Center. During booking, jail staff record identifying information and assign a unique inmate ID number. The record captures:

  • Booking date and time
  • Inmate ID number
  • Charges and associated statute numbers
  • Bond type and amount (e.g., cash only, cash/surety)
  • Arresting agency (Broomfield Police Department, Adams County Sheriff, Arapahoe County Sheriff, or other agencies)
  • Date of birth
  • Release date, if applicable

The most direct way to access current booking records is through the active booking report hosted on the City and County of Broomfield's website. This document lists all individuals currently in custody along with their charges and bond details.

For records beyond what the active roster shows — such as past bookings or detailed arrest reports — you can submit a request through the Broomfield Public Records Request portal. Court-related records, including case dockets, can be searched through the Colorado Judicial Branch Docket Search by selecting Broomfield County. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation's Internet Criminal History Check is another option for obtaining statewide criminal history information.

Search the Broomfield Jail Roster by Last Name or Booking Number

The Broomfield active booking report supports two practical search approaches:

Search by Last Name

  1. Open the active booking PDF.
  2. Press Ctrl+F (Windows) or Cmd+F (Mac) to open your browser's search bar.
  3. Type the individual's last name exactly as it would appear on official records.
  4. If the last name is common, add a first name or initial to narrow results.

Search by Inmate ID or Booking Number

  1. Open the same active booking PDF.
  2. Enter the inmate ID number in the browser search bar.
  3. The system will jump directly to that entry if the person is currently in custody.

Tips for Better Results

  • Use the full legal name — nicknames and aliases may not appear on the roster.
  • Double-check spelling. A single incorrect letter can cause a missed result.
  • If a search returns nothing, the individual may have already been released, transferred, or booked under a different name variation.
  • Try searching by last name only if you are unsure of the first name spelling.

If you still cannot locate someone, call the detention center at 720-887-2000 to verify whether the person is currently held at the facility or has been moved to another jurisdiction.

Jail Roster Updates and Search Limitations in Broomfield

The Broomfield active booking report is updated periodically, but it is not a real-time feed. There can be a delay between the time someone is booked into the detention center and when their name appears on the published PDF. Similarly, individuals who have been released or transferred may still appear briefly on the roster until the next update cycle.

Key Limitations to Keep in Mind

  • Processing delays: New arrests may not show up immediately. Booking paperwork, fingerprinting, and data entry all take time before a record is published.
  • Release timing: An inmate who posts bond or is released by court order may remain on the roster for a short period after leaving custody.
  • Current custody only: The active booking report reflects who is in the detention center right now. It is not an archive of all past bookings. Once someone is released, their entry is removed from the list.
  • Transfers: Inmates held for other agencies (such as Adams County or Arapahoe County) may appear on the Broomfield roster while housed at the detention center, but they will disappear if transferred.
  • Restricted records: Juvenile records, sealed cases, and certain sensitive matters are excluded from public view under Colorado law.

For historical booking data or more detailed arrest records, submit a formal request through the City and County of Broomfield's public records request system. Court case information tied to a booking can be looked up separately through the Colorado Courts Records Search.
